Mumbai Leander Paes has bought a stake in the Bengal team ahead of the fifth season of the Tennis Premier League. This league will be played in Pune in which eight teams will participate. Paes has bought the eighth team in TPL in association with Wardwizard Group. The rest of the teams are Mumbai Lions Army, Punjab Tigers, Pune Jaguars, Bengaluru Spartans, Delhi Binnies Brigade, Hyderabad Strikers and Gujarat Panthers. The tournament will take place in December this year and all the matches will be played at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune.

“The South Club in Kolkata is one of the finest tennis venues in the country, hosting the maximum number of Davis Cup matches in India,” Paes said in a release. Excellent players like Jaideep Mukherjee and Zeeshan Ali have come out of there. It will be more exciting with Bengal being the team in the fifth season of TPL.
