Sakshi Malik said that it is very sad to hear this because being a woman player, she is not listening to women players. He said that we have been following him since childhood. We are also inspired by him that he has done so much good for the country.

Indian Olympic Association chief PT Usha has strongly criticized wrestlers’ public protest against alleged sexual harassment by Wrestling Federation of India boss Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. He has clearly termed it as indiscipline. Wrestler Sakshi Malik has now given her reaction on PT Usha’s statement. Sakshi Malik said that it is very sad to hear this because being a woman player, she is not listening to women players. He said that we have been following him since childhood. We are also inspired by him that he has done so much good for the country.

During this, Sakshi Malik also looked very emotional. He said where did we commit indiscipline? We are sitting here peacefully. If we had been heard, we would not have even sat here. We are sitting here after waiting for 3 months. Bajrang Punia said that we did not expect such a strong response from IOA President PT Usha, we expected her to support us. Earlier, lashing out at the protesting wrestlers, Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha said protesting on the streets was indiscipline and was tarnishing the country’s image.

PT Usha said that if she has any problem then she should have come to us, should have talked to us. He said that instead of coming to us, they have come down on the road, it is not good for the game. Union Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Anurag Thakur said on Thursday that sports and sportspersons have always been a priority for the central government and they have never and will never compromise on the facilities of sportspersons. The country’s top wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia, resumed their sit-in at Jantar Mantar on Sunday demanding the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
