Right-handed opening batsman Arun Kumar has played over 100 first-class matches. He played domestic cricket for Karnataka between 1993 and 2008. After retiring from cricket, he became the batting coach of Karnataka when his team won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Mumbai Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have appointed J Arunkumar, who has had a stellar 16-year run in domestic cricket, as the assistant batting coach. Arunkumar, a right-handed opening batsman, has played over 100 first-class matches. He played domestic cricket for Karnataka between 1993 and 2008. After retiring from cricket, he became the batting coach of Karnataka when his team won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup and Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has also been the head coach of the Puducherry team and since 2020 is the head coach of the US national cricket team.
