In the Supreme Court, he has challenged the order of the Calcutta High Court which had upheld the stay on the warrant of arrest issued against Mohammed Shami. Earlier, the Sessions Court had also stayed the arrest warrant against Shami. At the same time, this decision of the Calcutta High Court has been challenged by the wife of Mohammed Shami.

Please inform that Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan has moved the Supreme Court along with her lawyers Deepak Prakash, Nachiketa Vajpayee, Divyangana Malik. This time also Hasin Jahan has alleged that Mohammed Shami used to demand dowry from her. Regarding this, he has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Apart from this petition, Hasin Jahan also accuses Mohammed Shami that even after getting married, he was in constant relationship with other women.

He alleged that Mohammed Shami used to have relations with other women in hotel rooms during tours organized by the BCCI. According to the petition, on August 29, 2019, an arrest warrant was issued against Shami by the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore. This decision was challenged by Shami in the Sessions Court, after which further proceedings in the matter were stayed. After this, Hasin Jahan approached the Calcutta High Court, after which she was disappointed from there too. Now he has turned to the Supreme Court.
