Vallarta. India’s golfer Arjun Atwal made a comfortable start in the first round of the Mexico Open Golf Championship, carding a one-under 70 to finish tied-65th. Atwal, who celebrated his 50th birthday last month, made two birdies and a bogey in between. Atwal is currently playing on the PGA Tour as well as the PGA Championship Tour for players over the age of 50.
Indian-American player Akshay Bhatia carded a 68 and is tied 31st. Another Indian-origin player Aaron Rai shot 71 and is tied 81st after the first round.
