Mexico Open: Golfer Arjun Atwal tied 65th in the championship

Atwal, who celebrated his 50th birthday last month, made two birdies and a bogey in between. Atwal is currently playing on the PGA Tour as well as the PGA Championship Tour for players over the age of 50.

Vallarta. India’s golfer Arjun Atwal made a comfortable start in the first round of the Mexico Open Golf Championship, carding a one-under 70 to finish tied-65th. Atwal, who celebrated his 50th birthday last month, made two birdies and a bogey in between. Atwal is currently playing on the PGA Tour as well as the PGA Championship Tour for players over the age of 50.

Indian-American player Akshay Bhatia carded a 68 and is tied 31st. Another Indian-origin player Aaron Rai shot 71 and is tied 81st after the first round.
