IPL 2023: KKR replaces Liton Das with Johnson Charles

New Delhi. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have included Johnson Charles in their squad for the remaining season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in place of wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das. Liton Das returned to Bangladesh last week due to family reasons. The 28-year-old was bought by KKR last year for his base price of Rs 50 lakh.
KKR kept him in the playing XI for only one match and then dropped him. Johnson Charles is a West Indies wicket-keeper batsman. He has so far scored 971 runs in 41 T20 International cricket matches. He has played a total of 224 T20 matches in which he has more than 5600 runs to his name. He will join KKR for the base price of Rs 50 lakhs.
