Estoril. India’s Geoffrey Emmanuel finished his first race in the first round of the FIM World Championship Junior GP at the famous Circuit do Estoril, despite a bike accident in the qualifying session. The 18-year-old Chennai-born Geoffrey is the first and only Indian to compete in the Junior GP.
He crashed his bike in the qualifying session on Saturday due to which he could not register any time. His time in the practice session, however, allowed him to compete in the main race on Sunday. He started from last position among 29 bikers and finished 22nd.
