Young wicket-keepers Richa Ghosh and Jemimah Rodrigues have been included in the BCCI’s 2022. Promoted to B grade in central contract for 23 seasons while Shikha Pandey and Tania Bhatia are out. Leg-spinner Poonam Yadav, who was last in A category, has not got a contract. She has not played for India since March 2022. Veteran fast bowler Shikha Pandey has also not got a contract. Pacer Renuka Thakur has got a Category B contract. The BCCI, which announced equal pay for women cricketers last year, has given central contracts to 17 women cricketers.
